Louisiana Leads AI — Campaign Manifesto
AI in education is still an emerging field. The rules aren’t set. The leaders haven’t been crowned. This is Louisiana’s chance to take the front of the pack and keep talent in the state. Time is running out.
By July 4, 2026 we must:
- Incentivize participation in a national AI Literacy measure so Louisiana sets the bar — and beats it.
- Approve a high-quality AI Industry Based Certification so students earn meaningful credentials.
- Expand the GenAI tools library for teachers and students to match classroom reality.
- Establish the Louisiana Innovation Institute to promote K-12 innovation and align learning with future job markets.
Other states are tackling one or two of these.
